BANDITAS WILD HORSE PROMISE
"Where Hoofbeats Are Our Heartbeats"

America's Wild Horses

Not many generations ago, horses carried this country on their backs.  Their strong and loyal service was invaluable in overcoming the challenges that prior generations (our own families) encountered in creating the nation we have today. Over the last century, carbon fueled power displaced equine power.  In doing so America stopped tending to the care and well being of our horses.  This lack of attention has resulted in wild horses living on public lands being mistreated, misunderstood and disrespected.

These animals are under pressure. Please join us in steering the course to alleviate this problem. The conflict is at a critical stage for the wild horses.  The stewards of public lands have repeatedly turned their backs on the intent of the electorate. Driven by the demands of a few privileged individuals who lease the use of public lands, the government stewards are expediting the demise of the wild herds.  The legacy that lives within these gentle souls is being snuffed out.  Our own government, bending to the demands of a minority, has denied sustenance and liberty to America’s Wild Horses.  We must step forward and provide land for the horses being displaced from their promised homes.  America must stand up for the souls whom we have abandoned. You can be part of a course correction for America’s wild horses, joining the effort to bring reprieve to this ill-conceived course is easy.

How You Can Help
The 501c3 not for profit needs three things:
  • Funds for implementing our Wild Horse Alternative Plan. Our organization is looking for founders to help fund the purchase of land plots and/or lease their property so we can begin the course of rescue of wild horses from the Bureau of Land Management holding facilities. Our mission is to rescue as many wild horses to freedom as possible, starting with our own sanctuary land.
  • Space to nurture horses rescued from many sources. Our organization is searching for large land owners who would be willing to allow Wild Horses to live the rest of their lives wild and free. (the amount of horses depends on amount of land).  Keep in mind all stallions are now gelded and will not be able to reproduce; therefore, herd size is always maintained at what the owner and their  land is willing to manage.
  • Visionary founders and patrons to guide the course. Our organization is always looking to gain members willing to contribute a business mindset. To meet the ultimate goal of protecting the wild horses, we need savvy founders to help navigate the course.

Stay Wild ~ Be Free

We are failing our wild horses!
According to the Bureau of Land Management, approximately 50,000+ wild horses are currently being held in their facilities.  The BLM states their holding capacity is about 73,000 horses.  Anticipating 22,000 more wild horses added this year, they will max out their holding facilities.  With cramped pens and limited care, disease and other problems will arise.  The death of a percentage of our treasured wild horses is inevitable.

Our organization is one that truly believes the wild horses should be allowed to stay on the land we promised them so many years ago.  However, with huge grazing gains, the round up of our wild horse population has risen.  Therefore, our plea, asking you for help, so we may find another suitable way to honor our Wild Horse.
